Do you love seeing the leaves change colors in the fall?
Do you prefer a fall foliage drive or a fall foliage hike?
I was driving around NW Bergen County the other day and spotted a spectacular orange/rust colored tree. I needed that reminder that it is actually FALL, afterALL!
With warmer October days, it is difficult to remember it is technically Fall. While some people like the extended warmth, I actually prefer the crisp Fall air. I must associate cooler days and nights with the leaves changing since I literally forgot it was Fall until I saw the orange-ish tree in Allendale. It was so pronounced and called out to me. WAKE UP!! Appreciate me! I sure did and now I am looking all over to spot the Fall foliage, quickly realizing that you do not have to travel far or even take a day trip, in order to see the beautiful trees which are all around us.
Busy families, busy lives. With all of the work life balance challenges and added stress of increased cost of gas and tolls in current times, it can be burdensome to travel far.
Luckily, you can find some beautiful fall foliage right nearby. Driving or walking/hiking.

The Palisades Parkway! Drive along the PIP (North or South) and you will see some of the most amazing tree colors around! (Not right in NW Bergen but very close in Rockland County and it goes through parts of southern Bergen county)
