Date night (or day!) spots in and around NW Bergen County!
Ok, you finally found some time to have a “real” date night. You are so used to staying home and watching tv on the couch with a bag of popcorn. You don’t want to go into the city but you want to feel like you are on a date again, with your spouse or significant other. You want to feel comfortable and have great dining options, perhaps even BYOB?
Where is there to go in the local NW Bergen County area? There are actually hundreds of restaurants to choose from! Everything from Italian food to Mexican delights, to many vegan options. If you can get out on a weeknight, your chance of having a quieter evening together, increases greatly.
Here are my 5 favorite date spots:
1) Savini’s in Allendale.Best Italian Restaurant in Bergen County NJ , Savini Restaurant - Allendale NJ :
Elegant decor, delicious American and Italian food. FYI it can get noisy on the weekends with live music. The price point is average to $$.
2) St. Eve’s restaurant in Ho-Ho-Kus. Beautiful decor, excellent food. Also a bit pricey, but consider treating yourselves if you can. They are BYO and also serve mocktails! St. Eve's - Lunch, Dinner, Takeout, & Delivery in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ
3) Felina’s in Ridgewood Felina Restaurant | Ridgewood - By Landmark
They have a fun social hour from 5-7pm weekdays. $11 signature drinks and $6 craft beers!
Food is top notch. Reservations are strongly suggested
4) Booyah! Mahwah Booyah! - Mahwah, NJ
What a fun place, located within the Doubletree hotel. If you can get out for longer, you can add a hotel stay! They have their signature warm cookies at the front desk!
Booyah has happy hour, trivia nights, live music and early bird specials. Prices are fair and a couple can share a few large sized appetizers vs. two main courses.
5) Shannon Rose, Ramsey Ramsey | Shannon Rose in New Jersey
Located conveniently near the Fountain Spa! Therefore, if you have more time, book a spa service or couples massage and then head for drinks or dinner! Fun atmosphere, delicious, traditional Irish fare such as bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie are almost always on the menu!
