"Hey noodlessssss!"

Does anyone remember that line from the famous movie, Once Upon a Time in America? Yes, it was from 1984. The 80's. Yes, the 80's were over 40 years ago! I know I know. I digress. However, it is what came to mind when I started writing this article!

Ramen noodles are so very popular today in western culture. Perhaps as of the last 10 years or so vs. from the 80's! In any event, what comes to mind when you think of ramen noodles? Do you think of the quick store bough version, or do you think sit down/dine in?

I have asked readers to rate their favorite NW Bergen County DINE IN locations. Here are the top 5 reader favorites:

#1- Tawara in Ramsey -Authentic Japanese Family-owned restaurant for over 40 years! Multiple readers chose Tawara. Extensive menu, delicious Ramen and wonderful wings. Good price point and centrally located on busy Main Street in Ramsey. Walkable.

Tojo in Ho-Ho-Kus- I received many nods for Tojo from readers who all say they have a great ambiance, great for parent date nights as well! Especially known for their Shoyu Whiskey Ramen (with an extra egg)! Wow that sounds unique! A little pricier but still reasonable.

Tori Ramen in Ridgewood- Great wings as well!

Masa in Allendale- Better known for Ramen's "cousin" Udon vs. but worth a mention since they have an entire category for "noodlessss." Pricier option but also a great date night treat and/or for party platters.

Menya Ramen House, Ridgewood- Fun atmosphere, great Ramen.

*Naru in nearby Franklin Lakes and Arigato in nearby North Haledon receive special mention*

Enjoy!
